My carder in a 23 + year old inwood-smith with a coarse cloth it has been great for all types of wool .
I have carded Mohair , Angora rabbit and Alpaca including Suri fleece , you do need to put the finer fleeces through about 3 times .
When I bought the carder we didn't have Alpacas here in Australia and they were just starting to breed up the Angora goats .
I bought it as a wool carder and it have been great for the job it was made for .
