Flax TOW fibre per 100gms
Flax TOW is the result of carding the flax fibre, its what is left after the long fibres are drawn off to be kept in a bundle for dressing a distaff or for spinning into warp yarns. The TOW is the collection of the remaining short fibres which did not make the length requirement. This results in this product having a more fuzzy appearance, lots of ends and short fibres. Tow fibre results in a spun yarn having more bulk and character then the line flax fibre which results in a smoother stronger yarn. When spun, TOW fibre is more suitable as a weft yarn, lacking the traditional strength of the long fibres yarn.
