It provides a supported race for the boat shuttle to glide over all the threads every single time. It flexes out of the way when beating and returns to its position for the next throw. 

The shuttle race can be fitted to all older Ashford folding table looms with the curved beater arms. The kit is quick and easy to install, it includes the shuttle race, new curved beater arms, bungy cords and spanners.
